The hook makes the hit -

My song library

I write songs since 1989 and offer them to publishers, artists, labels and producers. Some of the songs which can be heard here, are actual recordings in sudio quality, some were written for my former bands "Fairy Tales" and "The Crown" in the early 90'’s, and some were recorded just with guitar and singing (I call them “raw songs”). Until now, I 've written already more than 300 songs. Furthermore, I also work as a co-writer, sharing creativity in collaborations with other writers, touching different styles and shades.

In 2005, a half-page article about me was published in the Australian Musicbiz journal "A 'n R" plus 2 of my songs. Here's an extract:

"Arthur Jaeger writes timeless and catchy pop/rock songs with an undoubtably great hit-potential. His strong point is the unfailing instinct for a catchy hook and groove, all the substance, that creates a really memorable and infectious song. His Songs immediately get feet tapping and go much further, lurking in the back of one's consciousness, long after most ofher tracks have faded from memory. Today, he's able to offer his songs to those, who recognize and appreciate excellent, well-crafted material."

Artist and Repertoire 01/05

Interested folks should note the following when listening to the songs:

The songs which can be heard here, were produced and recorded in a certain style. Of course, it is possible to produce them in other styles and pitches, if wished. The categorisations for each song are only meant as an orientation. The songs are sorted after their tempo and thoroughly protected by copyright (Gema, Suisa and notarially!) Read the copyrights at bottom of page.
Furthermore, please take the following into account: The sound and production quality of some of the songs published here, is sometimes not that perfect. Some songs are older recordings - but nevertheless good tunes! My motto is: "Nothing is embarrassing for me". I think, that the quality and the Hookline of a good song can be recognized very well, no matter what the production or sound quality may be like. Also, I think, mutual talents recognize each other.

So, any interested publisher, label, producer or artist, who is on the search for good songmaterial, as well as of course everyone else, who just likes my music, may
contact me and order a complete demo CD. The songs published here are shortened up (80 kbps MP3-Files) and may not be downloaded! Just listen, decide, and then contact me - I’m looking forward to hearing from you!

More (unproduced) songs
mostly studio sound quality (VOX: A. Jaeger), only acoustic guitar & vocals

I couragesly decided to publish also some, what I call "raw" songs here. These are unproduced Songs, just recorded with guitar and vocals. The melody lines are finished, the lyrics can be changed or modified, they are partly finished. So, these songs are as good as the other songs on this site and nevertheless also very worth listening to. Try to have a "gentle ear" and try to ignore my "brilliant" singing and the "somehow-western-like" sound, that every song has got, caused by the acoustic guitar and the typical way of playing it. The hooklines are recognizable very well - and that's in fact the thing, that counts - that's the true song.

Up Tempo

49. London Town (one of my best Choruses and Hooklines, I find... a sure “Hit single”!)

Mid Tempo

53. Understand (catchy Chorus - and also verse - perfect “Hit single”, little bit like “7th Day”)
54. Where the magic’s from (very catchy verse, “Hit single”, can also be produced in soul or R ‘n B -Style)

Down Tempo

55. Candle will burn (on of my best Chorus-Hooks, “Hit single”, ...sorry for the minor sound quality...)
56. Night on the town (in the summertime) (3/4-tact, one of my best compositions ever - extreme melodic, fine atmo, a little bit like Mike Oldfield’s “Get to France”, “Hit single”)

Ballads
